Dan’s outdoor work boots take a beating at his customer station technician job. Tuff Toe keeps his boots going strong.
“I buy a great pair of boots to be worked and use Tuff Toe to protect them. As long as you apply this stuff properly, it will outlast the boot.”
Dan spends the bulk of each day in the snow, sleet, rain, mud, and gravel for his job at an industrial gas company. From his days in the military to his current job, he’s learned a thing or two about boots. He understands the importance of well-protected outdoor work boots. 70 hours a week spent outside around cryogenic tanks that can be -300 degrees can wear any type of work boot down quickly.
Tuff Toe changed that for his favorite steel toe work boots.
Dan applied Tuff Toe to a pair of work boots over 2 years ago. Since then, the boots have worn down some, but the Toe application hasn’t at all. So impressed by its durability, a little over a month ago, Dan decided to apply Tuff Toe to fix other parts of his favorite pair of boots.
“2 years ago I used the Tuff Gun to repair a rock hole in the bottom heel of one boot and the seams in the front of both boots to prevent flapping. I still bought a new pair as I didn’t expect any of these repairs to last more than a couple of days. Now more than a month later, I am still kicking logs and really working them to see how long they will last.” (see photos below)
Dan isn’t just active for work, but for fun as well. He will go four wheeling, do yard work, tend to his chickens, or jump on his dirt bike for a quick ride in his boots. He once nicked his outdoor work boot with a chainsaw by accident. Tuff Toe helped him out there as well!
“If you’re really working outside all day, you can’t buy cheap boots and expect them to last. So when spending $250-$300 on a pair of Red Wings, $40 on Tuff Toe is a no-brainer.”
Dan is an admitted perfectionist. He loves the combination of flexibility and durability you get with Tuff Toe. It’s surprisingly easy to apply on any size area and truly protects his outdoor work boots.
